Shan Yu

ShanYu, one of the most badass villains ever! Equally cunning, aggressive, and intelligent, I wanted to portray him in a state of contemplation, figuring out his next move. 🤔

The final illustration changed a lot from my initial idea. Besides comp sketches I created a 3D mockup of my scene, which I often use to figure out the lighting and perspective. 💡
